I'm late on posting this. But on Monday, July 27th, Just Wipe It LS cleared Fist of the Father (Savage)! (Click here if you want a timestamp of when I uploaded this). Prettier image when I get my computer back on its feet after this reformat and stuff. Archive Post - February 2, 2014 - Site Adjustments and Open Recruitment

Welcome to Simple Free Company's spruced up website. As of February 1st, our free company has begun open recruitment for both new and veteran players. 

A couple of quick things to get out of the way: 

Simple FC was established in 1.0 as a linkshell of people who were close knit from Final Fantasy XI or from real life (or both). We have grown into the free company  and community we are today over the years and formed upon the launch of A Realm Reborn. We had some bumps along the way, but we are a stable, happy, and welcoming group of players. 

What we do in this game varies from player to player in our free company; we have some players who participate in endgame and others who play at their own pace and enjoy themselves without feeling the pressure of raiding. 

Our primary focus is that of community building, and we play games outside of Final Fantasy XIV together frequently and have a discord server for our members to use to communicate with one another even when they cannot sign on to the game. While we do pride ourselves on having members who clear the hardest content in a relatively timely manner, know that this does not solely define us. We hold more pride in the family-like environment of our free company and social linkshells and welcome all players from all skill levels to join us for Patch 3.2 and onwards! <3

We were among the first 5 groups on Hyperion to clear during Second and Final Coil progression, and cleared the first 2 floors of Gordias Savage within a week of its release. Though our progression slowed in the most recent raid cycle, we still have a number of members who are serious about progression and look to push themselves to clear in a relatively timely manner (without feeling the pressure to push aside real life commitments) and have still managed to maintain a spot in the first 5 groups of the server to clear A4S.

If you are looking for a raiding free company, we do currently have a few statics which are clearing most, if not all of the current content. These statics' rosters are currently full. If a spot opens up, the recruitment application will reflect this. 

We are also recruiting for fill up two new statics which run at the following times. These groups will look to run 3-5 days a week at a minimum, perhaps more during progression:

Archive Post - August 10, 2014 - Simple Private Housing Contest: The Results!

Hey, everyone! A couple of weeks ago, we announced that we were holding a contest for people to design their rooms.Thank you so much to everyone for entering! The rooms were all really great and it was really hard to choose which was "the best". In the end, we took a more objective approach and ranked the rooms on a scale of 1 to 10 based on the creativity, the usage of space, the color scheme, and the overall cohesiveness of the room. The results were really close, with the top four designs being ~4-5 points apart in terms of their scores.

But now, without further ado, I'm happy to announce the winners of our housing contest!

Archive Post - August 7, 2014 - Our Answer to F Co.'s Cannon

A while ago, when the houses were first being built, our neighbors and friends at F Co. decided to aim a cannon directly at our house. When confronted they claimed it was aimed at the "ocean". It's clear from this image below that this is not the case.

With help from our neighbors TES and Scout (and a friend from Sctr7!), we were able to build up an LB2.

Hey, everyone! A couple of the Founders wanted to hold a company-wide private quarters decoration contest! The prizes will be posted here shortly once all the details are finalized, but I just wanted to get a few quick things out of the way so everyone can get started.

Everyone who enters will get something (we're not sure what yet!), so give it a shot and enter your room into the contest!

[strike]The Deadline: August 8, 2014 @ 11:59 PM EST (That's right before midnight on the East Coast!)

How to Enter: You can either send a tell to me (Estellise Lunaren), Cutie Patewtee or to the judges (list to be announced) OR you can update your FC short message saying that your room is complete and you would like to enter in the contest. (Example: "My room is done! I enter it into the contest!")[/strike]

Rules:

1. [*] If a room is currently unlocked and finished, you cannot copy their design. We've gone to opened rooms and checked what it's like on the inside and we have a good feeling who has done what so far. Screenshots have been taken!
2. [*] You CAN get help from your friends designing, so long as you inform the judges (and the person/people helping you confirm their involvement). 
3. [*] Prizes will not be shared amongst the people who designed together. The prize goes to the room owner; what they do with that prize is up to them.
4. [*] You CAN have your friends craft you furniture. We don't need to know who crafted what, but just know that you can pool together your resources and make each other what you need.

With all the recent sadness going on around here, I wanted to share some good news to those who check the site.

We have a few people in our FC who take part in endgame progression, 4 in one static and 2 in another. This week, with the patch, both of these statics went in to work on T1 of The Final Coil of Bahamut (or T10). Today, both groups went in and cleared within a couple of hours of one another.

Archive Post - May 2, 2014 - Second Coil of Bahamut - Turns 1-3, complete! Server 3rd FC T8!

This is very, very late. I wasn't entirely sure if I should post these screenshots or not because the group isn't made entirely of free company members. This is a mostly FC group. We have two members from NOVA, Lord Palom and Ryu Hoshi, as well as one member from Sctr7, Valkor Zetsway, who run with 5 members from our FC in this static. But since a majority of us are from Simple, and we're very proud of what we've been able to accomplish together so far, I've decided to finally post these up.  

I have been keeping track of the loot we've been getting in the company from these turns in the raid tracker. ^^ Someone not in our FC had mentioned to one of us that we really should post these on our site because our Turn 8 Clear date makes us one of the first on the server to clear the turn, and they're absolutely right: We're proud and there's no reason not to share.

On April 12, 2014 we went into the Second Coil of Bahamut and cleared Turn 1 (commonly known as Turn 6).

Most recently, on April 25, 2014, our group went in and cleared Turn 3 (Turn 8 ) as well. According to the World Progression thread, it looks as if our group is the third FC group to clear this Turn on Hyperion! Even if we're not third, at the very least we're in the top 10 groups of the server. ♥ Great job, guys!

This August 16th, 2016, Simple FC turned 3 years old! In honor of that, I decided to finally get my rear in gear and make us a new updated website. Added this to the fact that the guildwork site is constantly going down because Guildwork seems to have been abandoned... and yeah.

Welcome to our new website! There are some features that will continue to be implemented, but make sure to take a good look around! We have forums, we have leaderboards, we have contest functionality and raid groups can make their own pages to post news and chat with one another (though I guess we have Discord for that) if you guys want! 

That being said, Happy Anniversary, everyone! Let's look back at some memories we've shared throughout the years! ^^

Just over a week after our formation, our FC unlocked company actions! We had some struggles earning credits, but have come a long way since then, wouldn't you agree? 

A lot of us worked hard to get the gil together to afford our house. Does anyone remember how many maps we farmed in hopes for the bonus gil chest? LOL 

In celebration of getting our house, we held a room design contest! The prizes were the minions that were implemented for the gardens that most recent patch. So many people entered! We even had an official judges form and tallied the results! 

We had a little war with our neighbors. (They pointed a cannon at us! ) It's safe to say that we retaliated quite nicely!

Most recently we've had a lot of raid related news, but we did stop to have some fun and set up an FC jumping puzzle!

Archive post - March 15, 2014 - The Binding Coil of Bahamut, Complete!

After weeks and weeks of struggling to clear this turn, Simple finally cleared Turn 5 today! We had an issue recently with our roster, but this may have been for the best. With our newest member, Blue Bird, we were able to clear after only a handful of attempts! (Our first attempt ever with Blue, we got her to 6% and hit the enrage.) Today our first attempt ended with over a minute until the enrage and Twintania sitting at 5% but had unfortunate disconnects. It seemed the odds were not in our favor, but fast forward a couple of attempts later and down she went!

Congratulations to everyone in our roster who got their first clears tonight! Job amazingly well done, and I couldn't be more proud to be part of a group that works hard together to clear current content and have fun while doing it. I'm truly honored to be part of this static with all of you. <3 Let's keep it up in 2.2!

I know this is late, but better late that never! On September 14, 2013, we went in to challenge Garuda for clears and relic progression. It took us a couple of tries, but we eventually downed her. Now, less than a week later, we're comfortable enough on the fight to farm weapons. Since our first victory, we've gotten a whole bunch of weapons for a bunch of people!
